This is the FIFA World Cup that we are talking about! Although, like you said, anything can happen in the game of football.
Football is football. It doesn't matter the tournament.
They later finished 4th. They did their best.
I can't remember any African team that got a 4th position in the World Cup tournament. They have made history.
Only 4 African teams have reached quarter-finals in the history of World Cup - Cameron 1990, Senegal 2002, Ghana 2010 and Morocco 2022.
Morocco now have reached semi finals. They did Africa proud.

They tried, but when they got to the semi finals, I felt like they should have done better to get to the finals.
I never saw them been able to best France with their pattern of football.
