Can playing PC games at slower video frame rates be enjoyable?

I think a PC game can still be enjoyable when video frame rates are 20 frames per second as long as the game is fun. I remember playing PC games on a slower PC where games video frame rate where slower, and I still had fun playing the game.

It’ll depend on how much of a freak you are over frame rates, and also if you didn’t experience the game at faster frame rates. For me, I don’t have a problem playing older games that are 30fps at best, and when I play a remastered version that claims 60fps, I think it looks weird and awkward.

I remember playing first person shooter and real time strategy games on an older Windows PC,and it was great even when the video frame rates were slower.

Playing games at a slower video frame rates sometimes bring back memories of playing PC games many years ago in my room or at school.

Slightly slower frame rates sometimes add a slow motion effect to games which make games feel like flipbook animation when framerates are slower.

In this fast day and age? Unlikely.

I don't tend to bother with time settings in games. That said, I have turned down the FPS of My Time at Portia just a bit. It can be handy...Maybe?

Honestly I think it's mostly good for high draw games that lag your computer.

It's more on the Hz than FPS, The human eyes cannot see beyond 60Hz but you can feel faster responses when gaming above 60Hz and above 60 FPS and thus the smoothness that you can feel but "cannot see". Seeing is not believing lol

Some games limit the bouncing PLOT physics to 60 fps/60 hz max though so the PLOT physics of the said games won't take advantage of the higher hz or sometimes it will just totally go bonkers lol
