Seriously guys?

Even if that's not quite what you meant, eight to ten times more work is not exactly a minor increase in costs.

For the love of [whoever], please don't try and spend eight to ten times more money on developing your next few games. I mean, you (as in Capcom) are already losing a ton of cash as it is, and those types of costs are likely going to be enough to drive your company into bankruptcy.

Just some advice. Although I have this feeling Capcom will become one of the next big companies in the industry to go under anyway.

What do you think about these ridiculous soaring development costs?

Here lies Capcom: 1983-2014

They were a great company with some great games. Horrible choices brought them to their terrible end and they will surely be missed.

Seriously though, if they say screw it and release a Megaman game, it will undoubtfully save their sorry butts no matter how good or bad the game since Megaman fans will buy it.

Lol I refuse to buy a "bad" MegaMan game!

They made a horrible 9 and a meh 10, then released a VERY BAD cell-phjone game. Capcom died like 4 years ago, to me. I had been a die-hard fan of theirs since I was a child and Mega Man 2 came out. I'll just watch Platinum Games (owned by the creator of Devil May Cry and Resident Evil who left Capcom) and ComCept (owned by Mega Man's director / creator who also helped with Resident Evil who also left Capcom). since those two have left, Capcom, as a company, has burned to the ground every major license they own except Monster Hunter (which I hate anyway so couldn't care less about, personally) and POSSIBLY Lost Planet. Good riddance, I say. Let them go the way of that horrendous Capcom clone, SNK.the last decent game by them i played was Resident Evil: Revelations, and before that was... hmm... something on PS2 I believe.maybe Minish Cap.

Capcom: We don't know what a realistic budget looks like.

They have got to get things under control. When games like Super Meat Boy and Minecraft and quite a few other Indie games can be made by 1-2 man teams and go on to sell millions of copies, it makes it quite clear that it's the content in your game that gives you sales, not the budget.

I dunno... A lot of gamers seem to value how good the game looks over how well it plays, and all those fancy graphics cost an absolute fortune to make. That's what's locked so many companies into churning out the same FPS and sports games over and over... They have to have the guaranteed money farm those games produce in order to have the budget to make anything else. I can see why so many people are predicting a market collapse. And honestly, I don't know if they can change their ways. People expect these big name companies to have over the top, movie quality, top of the line games- and then whine the game play sucks. I don't know if any of the bigger corporations are going to be able to break away from this, at least not before taking a lot of huge losses.

And then thankfully, those people will leave gaming when the overspending companies crash and burn horribly. Which to be honest, is going to be the only way the field can become sustainable again.
