Speaking with Nintendo Power (via Siliconera), Capcom USA senior vice president Christian Svensson explained that we'd be seeing a lot more of the Blue Bomber in future on both handhelds and, interestingly, consoles too.

He explained, "I can say with certainty that you’ve not seen the last of the Blue Bomber on consoles and handhelds, and, with luck, we’ll be celebrating his 50th anniversary, including all of the games you’re going to enjoy over the next 25 years.

"That said, an issue we’ve had in the past has been talking about games and announcing them before we’re certain they’re going to come out, which unfortunately has lead to profound disappointment for many fans. So for now, I’m going to have to stay mum about any details."

The last game to be released in the series was Mega Man 10 back in 2010 on XBLA, PSN and WiiWare.

First off, fuck you capcom. At the end there still saying fans killed the recent MM games, bastards. Anyways, I'm not holding my breath for anything that will make me happy.

I don't think they said that fans killed it, pretty sure they just meant fans were annoyed by MM3 Legends.

And kiss my mothefucking ass Capcom. The day I see another Mega Man game is the day that a fan makes one, or you greedy shits sell the rights to the rightful owner.

they came out on twitter to say lack of fan support canceled the MM games -_-

I don't know, but if you look at the sales, they aren't amazing. Most haven't broken a million. I'm surprised Battle Network and Star Orce were continued. I'm not complaining though; BN was the best series.

Sales weren't great. I really don't see why they continued it sales-wise. They probably just wanted to please fans. Battles Network 3 and 4 did better than what I expected though.
