Despite the news that Atlus's latest horror-puzzler kicked the butt of every other title when it debuted in Japan last week, an Atlus PR rep told Beefjack today:
"Catherine is a Japan-only game and there are no plans for a NA release at this time. Sorry about that!"
Because it's the latest game from Team Persona (and their first HD title), a lot of JRPG fans were excited (wink) at the prospect of trying out this ridiculous and sexy title for themselves someday. Bear in mind that "no plans at this time" doesn't rule out the possibility that it'll make it stateside eventually (a definite possibility, given Atlus's history with localizations), but it's not looking good for the immediate future.
Time to hit the import shops and learn Japanese!
