He was shot during a live debate. This comes a few days after he blasted the media for not caring more about the Ukraine girl that was stabbed and killed on a train.

I think killing people because you don’t like their beliefs is really shitty, but seeing how libs are championing this, I can see why we are where we are.
I mean the guy promoted stoning gays, and said racist remarks. He was hateful, and hate leads to violence which often times can lead to someone getting hurt or worse in this case dead. None of what he said was based in facts, it was all fueled by lies. The man didn't deserve to be shot. But you also reap what you sow.

I never watched the dude's content or seen what he posted on social media but I don't think he's ever been linked to any kind of crime committed based on his political opinions. If someone was actually going to go and stone a gay person, it's because they were already set in their ways and didnt need to be radicalized.

I'm with @TheRavenfreak the shooting sucks, but the man wrote his check with his mouth and the reaper cashed it.

After looking it up, apparently he never said anything about stoning the gays. With people like Charlie Kirk or Nick Fuentes, I just point and laugh at them for being clowns.

He didn't, I saw on Twitter people are apologizing for pushing that lie.

Here's a link with bigoted quotes Charlie said which was fact checked. I don't believe anything that comes from Twitter since most active people on the platform are Republicans. Some of the quotes are not true of course, or not outright what he's said. I should have worded that better in my other post because he didn't quite outright say we should stone gays but he beat around the bush. Also content warning, there is an image from the shooting in the article.

Again the man didn't deserve to be murdered, but hate leads to violence like I said. All these people saying "He was a good man" was blinded by their black and white views of life. Also even if he didn't get in trouble with the law, it still doesn't mean he was a good person lol. Not to mention that his whole slogan was "Prove me wrong" when indeed so many people did prove him wrong but he kept making up facts to further push his hateful agenda. We should NOT "agree to disagree" on opinions when it comes to human rights. We can agree to disagree on mundane opinions like our favorite video games. If you scroll into the article you'll see what I mean by that quote. He actively pushed for the anti-trans ideology that caused many terrible laws to be put into place and potential terrible laws to be put into place that prevents trans people from getting gender affirming care.

>Twitter quote isn’t trustworthy
>posts some random substack

You’re not doing any better bro. Saying you don’t trust a comment from Twitter because it’s mostly Republicans on there, but linking basically a blog written by some rando and fact checked by somebody isn’t a smoking gun either.

I don’t like Charlie Kirk either, but combating a NY Post article quoting Twitter with a blog while openly stating you don’t trust the link because of political disagreements isn’t going to shake off any accusations of “I don’t like what these guys say, but this source is trustworthy because they agree with me” type arguments.

Just some constructive criticism because it comes off as very silly when you look at it.

Read from Neogaf:

Sucker Punch fired a senior character artist Drew Harrison, over comments she made online in the wake of the assassination.

Hours after Kirk's death had been publicly announced, a post was added to Harrison's Bluesky account, stating, "I hope the shooter’s name is Mario so that Luigi knows his bro got his back." This comment clearly references Luigi Mangione, who has been indicted for the New York City murder of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson in December 2024.

Thompson herself seems to hold no ill will against Sucker Punch.

Yeah its kinda sad when you see these people coming out of the woodwork celebrating a death. Now if it was on the other foot they'd be crying about it.
This already happened back in June when a Democrat was shot alongside her husband. 2025 shootings of Minnesota legislators - Wikipedia
Guess what I seen on Facebook? A bunch of Republicans mocking her death, most of them are the same ones that are saying "You shouldn't mock the death of Charlie!" Hypocrisy at it's best. Donald Trump didn't even order the flags to be raised half way because she was a Democrat. She was a senator too, Charlie was just an outspoken public figure.

I get what you're saying. Here's a better source for some of the nasty things he's said with video clips to back it up so at least there's concrete proof rather than just text. I should get better at actually doing more research, I'll admit I got the link from some random person on Reddit. The problem with the NY Post and other media is they're all biased. Doesn't matter if it's coming from a news source that's more left leaning or one that's more right leaning. That's why I'm a bit weary about it. Most people on Twitter are right leaning though, which is why I don't trust it either. Still the point is, he cherrypicked bible quotes that some "good Christians" do. He did harm by creating the hateful rhetoric against trans people and other minorities, just right now trans people are the right's boogeyman and we're seeing the gay panic of the 90's again just with trans people. As time goes on I hope we can get past this hateful thought process. Words can be powerful even if they can't outright physically harm you. And I know people who "don't agree with trans people or the lgbt community" might see the article I'm sharing as "biased" but she broke down what Charlie said in each clip. And that bible verse that mentions stoning gays is brought up again, because even if he didn't outright say he's for stoning gays in that clip, he did say "We should go back to how we dealt with these things in the 50's and 60's" in another clip that's mentioned in the article. Every minority was treated way worse than they are now back then. Didn't matter if they were gay, black, trans, or even if they had a disability. They were beaten, institutionalized, and had lobotomies done to them. He may have come off as a joke to you, which he really was but to some he was just plain evil. I think I'm done responding to the thread now though. This has been messing with my mental health lately, and I've got a live stream that I'm going to be starting soon so I need to focus on that. Thanks for not calling me dumb for what I said in my previous posts. Here's that article btw.

It's practically "the same" for both sides nowadays, the level of "animosity" towards one another on both of the extreme ends of the spectrum. Like what happened on January 6, 2021 , when the extremist republicans were wreaking havoc, attempting a self coup. The main problem/root cause is again Trump, a capable or a much better leader should be able to make both extreme ends of the spectrum tamer, like the many Republican and Democratic presidents before Trump. Trump is the first US president in modern era US history to cause this much political warring/animosity and political chaos.

I always have fun when I see the blatant hypocrisy in both sides over the same topics. Or when I see them switch sides over a topic like with antisemitism. Most of the shit I see on the lefty subs on Reddit made me feel like I stepped foot in the /pol/ board on 4chan whenever Jews are brought up.
