Ubisoft revealed a spiritual successor to Rez at its E3 conference, with Tetsuya Mizuguchi taking to the stage to play a Kinect-enabled musical shooter called Child of Eden.
Using his hands – and sporting some natty white gloves – Mizuguchi directed an onscreen reticule, firing off projectiles in time with the music and triggering trippy visuals in a mix that will be familiar to anyone who played the original Rez, a cult favourite on the Dreamcast and latterly the PlayStation 2 and Xbox Live Arcade.
No details were revealed on a release date, but we'll be meeting up with Mizuguchi later in the week to bring you more on Child of Eden.
