Chrono Trigger Director Would Like a 'New, High Quality Version'?

As per Takashi Tokita himself (in an interview):

So yeah, seems interesting doesn't it? Personally, I want to see something a bit like the cancelled Chrono Resurrection, except official:

Granted the game has had some 'remakes' (though most of it was just ported other then some changes and what not), I would love to see a full remake, though I think I wouldn't like it as much as the original since then 2D graphics would go bye bye. I really loved the graphics in that game. I remember getting Chrono Cross and being disappointed that it was 3D.

As for a movie, that'd be cool, but hopefully it'd be animated. Live actions for these sort of things are never that well done in my opinion.

Unless they kept it to sprites and not those ugly 3D models, I'm all for it.
