Circuit City Closing This Sunday

If you're nostalgic for always-kinda-depressing-and-overpriced electronics retailer Circuit City, you have until Sunday, March 8th to stop by and re-visit the store's limited selection of car-stereos, satellite radios and blank DVDs. The doors are closing after this weekend, people. Last chance to pick up a copy of FIFA 06.

“Thanks to record shopper turnout at many of the store locations and the attractive discounts offered on all merchandise, the sales actually went quicker than we expected,â€￾ said Scott Carpenter, executive vice president, director of operations, for Great American Group, which has been overseeing Circuit City's sales activity.

I think that the sales may have increased because of the large crowd turnout, it may be a little too late for Circuit City to bounce back in the short term.
