Class C bans in place on the spammers

A message to our members and owners of forums:

The following Class C bans are in place on the spammers in their network neighborhood since 4/25:

222.35.*
221.222.*
125.33.*
114.2*

None of our genuine users are affected by the new Class C bans, so everyone else here is safe.

For those who own a forum, take this time to add the new Class C IP bans to your ban filter, to replace the IP bans on the spammers you currently have now. You'll need to do an IP search with the above IPs to make sure your genuine users aren't affected.

So far today, this spam issue seems to be over.

Nice work. I've only been getting about one day, altely, but i'll try this out, and follow the instructions you listed.

Wow, when i did the search of each one, this one 222.35.* brought up about 12 of the spammers alone.

203.192.238.192

and had a gmail email account, male ... age 36

fits the profile. but hasn't posted the spam yet.

be prepared, though. hasn't activated the account yet.

we won't take action until the persons spams. thanks for the heads up though. I'll keep a eye on him on your forum.
