The good news for members of Club Nintendo's Elite Status program is that rewards for gold and platinum members are available now.
This year's offerings on the Club Nintendo website are entirely downloadable. There is not a physical reward in the bunch, unlike in previous years, where there was a selection of corporeal items in addition to downloadable titles.
Despite the lack of physical rewards, the offerings for the loyal Nintendo registration-and-survey takers include some classic Nintendo titles, which should satisfy many fans.
The games in the Gold or Platinum category and the systems on which they are available are:
• Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, 3DS
• Metroid, 3DS
• Wario Land 2, 3DS
• Donkey Kong 3, 3DS
• Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, Wii U
• Super Mario Bros., Wii U
• Kid Icarus, Wii U
• Ice Climber, Wii U
For Platinum members only, the games aren't entirely Virtual Console games, but include a few eShop and retail entries, as well.
• Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move, 3DS
• Dillon's Rolling Western, 3DS
• Fluidity: Spin Cycle, 3DS
• Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, 3DS
• Dr. Luigi, Wii U
• EarthBound, Wii U
• NES Remix, Wii U
• Game & Wario, Wii U
Qualifying members have through August 15 to claim their reward.
