A Russian website called Microsoft Portal first revealed the “boot to desktop” code, which is found inside a system file called twinui.dll. These changes are seen in one of the recent leaked builds of Windows Blue/Windows 8.1.

I wonder would there be a startmenu in the classic desktop again since without a startmenu, booting to desktop may confuse more users since the Startscreen is the startmenu, and most people who used Windows 8 might be used to seeing the wall of tiled/shortcuts which launches programs when they click on the tile for the program, or search for programs by pressing Windows+ C, and pressing the search/magnify glass icon to look for files, apps, and settings.
