Comcast recently announced that it was bringing a ton of new content to the X1 and now, in what seems to be a complement this, it has rolled out an unlimited Internet plan for an extra $35 a month. The add-on gets rid of the pesky 300-gigabyte monthly data cap that has been put in place in Atlanta, Miami and Nashville. If enough people in these cities opt to get rid of the bandwidth cap then the offer could potentially see a bandwidth cap placed on all data plans across the country, encouraging heavy users to opt for an unlimited plan.

An extra $35 is expensive for unlimited data internet.

But, sadlly, In Canada there is no unlimited internet for regular consumers, and the most expensive plans can cost over $100, and bandwidth is still limited to 500-800 GB, and users need to pay overage fees when they go over their limit..

That is.... slightly over a fair price. Too bad it don't increase the speed for that extra price as well.

I agree, the price is not fair. The price should be $20 or less.

A speed increase would be nice, but I feel the price would go up to $40-50 if there is a speed increase since Comcast charges people a lot for internet already.

At least, Unlimited data is also available on cheaper and slower 10mbps internet plans, and not exclusive to only expensive faster plans, and spend an extra $35 for unlimited data.

A lot of people on slower 10 mbps internet plans can still go over their internet limit if they download a lot of games, movies, and watch a lot of online video if they have a lot of people and devices using the internet all the time.

Data can be expensive though, so I get where they are coming from.

There is no unlimited internet in Canada? Wow! We have unlimited internet here in Eastern-Europe, and they don't have it in Canada? That is quite surprising.

There probably is unlimited internet in Canada, but unlimited is not available for the 2 bigger ISPs in my city in Canada. I may have to use a smaller internet provider which may have slower speeds, less reliability, and higher prices for unlimited plans.
