For those who read as well as watch anime & cartoons, how do you think they compare?
I’ve always preferred the book as they tend to explain more in depth what’s going on. Subtle things the anime removes due to time restrictions. I’ve watched an anime then sometimes would read the story to fill in the gaps just to see what they missed.

Most of the time the manga can have better scenes to it, but sometimes the anime does a better job.

It’s a case by case situation. Some leave things out, some are just page by page adaptations. Some also expand on it more.

It’s also not always a bad thing when they skip out on scenes/chapters. Some of those scenes really aren’t that important, or some were flat out not good to begin with, or were unnecessary.

I feel the same way towards books as well. It's just like Fire & Blood by George R.R when compared to the TV series House of The Dragon. The book is more detailed.
