This is huge. Conan O'Brien has said he won't accept NBC's proposal to move The Tonight Show back a half hour to 12:05, to make room for The Jay Leno Show moving to 11:35.
O'Brien says he's still hoping he and NBC can "resolve this quickly," but it doesn't seem NBC has many other options if they want to keep Jay Leno – and they likely do.
There has been speculation FOX would be quick to offer O'Brien a talk show if he leaves NBC. Yesterday at the TCA press tour, FOX's Kevin Reilly said he was certainly a fan of O'Brien, but that no official discussions had taken place and could not take place unless O'Brien was done at NBC.
Obviously everyone is now waiting to see NBC's response.
