Controller generations

Do you think that controllers have improved a lot in terms of ease of use / comfort over the generations? Is there still room for improvements and innovation as far as gaming controllers are concerned?

Sony really didn't change much at all until Dualshock 4, even then it is majorly similar - but much better. Xbox have always made slight changes... whether they are better or not is anyone's opinion though. I used to love the Xbox 360 controller, but it feels horrible in my hands now after getting used to the Dualshock 4.

It was motion gaming focused. Plus it felt like a slim NES controller and that was not the best controller.

Fair enough. I quite liked the Wii as something different. Played Resident Evil 4 with it, the motion made for an interesting challenge.

Day one when I got the wii remote I also got the classic controller.

The wii had its own classic controller and the Wii U had its own version as well and I own both. Till I learned they were cheap knockoffs.
