For comparison, the original game sold over a million copies in just a month, despite only being on the Wii. And Epic Mickey 2?

sold only 270,000 copies during the comparable time period, according to a person with access to sales data from research firm NPD Group who was not authorized to share it publicly.

Despite being on at least four different systems compared to the original's one. I have more than a modest feeling that this could mean the end for the whole thing, especially if Power of Illusion hasn't been some miraculous system seller blockbuster hit.

But what do you think? Are you sad that the Epic Mickey series isn't doing too well lately? Or is this kind of deserved after the poor reception of the recent games?

270000 isn't terrible...

It's HORRID.

I would never get a game that people seem to be reporting as "easily finished in a single sitting".

I was interested in getting this for one of the other consoles besides Wii, but after reading reviews and seeing how many basic game play issues it had I decided against it. From what I saw, the story and stuff is fine, but there are so many issues with basic things like jumping, clipping issues with invisible walls, falling through things you should be able to stand on (Or walking around in midair). A lot of the same things were problems in the first game apparently, and everyone kind of figured they'd have hammered those out by now.

Now, the 3DS Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion is one of my favorite games. Fantastic graphics, solid gameplay, great platforming. I've really enjoyed it. I really hope they improve upon what they've got there and continue on with the 2D platforming games instead.
