Could not perform DNS name resolution

Hello everyone, I had the switch for over a year and I've always played it using LAN but since last week this error popped and nothing seems to work.

I changed the DNS server to google's DNS server and other recommended servers, restarted my switch and router, tested the LAN connection with other devices and it worked fine. Keep in mind that the switch works on WIFI but doesn't work on LAN anymore.

Any help is appreciated

Maybe there is a Switch software or firnware problem which is causing LAN to not work on the Switch.

Have you tried using a different Switch to see if LAN works on a different Switch?

I have heard of updates that can mess with the LAN, though it might be the cable or your adapter messing it up as well.

A power surge or electrical problem may also mess up the firmware data on the firmware chip if the power surge messed up the data on the software.

Failed updates can mess up networking problems.

Hold the POWER Button down for three seconds, and then select Power Options followed by Restart. Check the DNS settings within the console's Internet settings. Access the settings for your saved Internet connection, and review the DNS settings.
