Could 'snaking' be returning to Mario Kart?

That's mini turbos being used on a straight road again, which hints that in future 'snaking' might sort of make a comeback in Mario Kart 7.

Would it be a good or bad thing if it did?

It was fun snaking back in MKDS even though I seem to mess myself up a few times. I wouldn't mind having this be in MK7. It brings back the old mario kart drifting. Well, I prefer either way.

• I knew that as soon as I saw the general low times for Luigi's Raceway..that boosting like that HAD to be used.

• I used to be a snaker in Mario Kart DS...wasn't fond of racing 30 mins straight while snaking every single race at school...ugh. I'm kinda hoping it doesn't return, but I'm sure it partially will, especially on random Wifi...it's a lot more doable I think since the races aren't set at 150cc..

If it was possible, it probably would have been done already. Unlike MKDS, where nobody really had no idea how snaking worked and it all happened based on a bit of experimentation, we are aware of what snaking is and how it's done this time around, so surely about after 5 months of release, somebody would've figured out the perfect way to do it by now.

I think just clever drifting is the new snaking nowadays, as we'll never see the "true" snaking return, due to it being impossible to pull off (different control scheme, yadda yadda).

Pretty much the only track I snake on is Toad Circuit, it's the easiest for me to do.
