YouTube has added gif-making functionality, albeit with one minor caveat.
When sharing a YouTube video, users can now select a 'gif' option. The new option lets users set a start-and-end point on the video, add text, then create a gif of up to six seconds in length.
There is one catch, though. At the moment, the only videos to feature the gif option are ones found on the PBS Ideas Channel.
