NIS America has news for you: Cross Edge, the company's "collaboration RPG" will be available May 24th for the PlayStation 3, exclusively.
The hook behind this Japanese RPG is that it was co-developed by a who's-who of heavy hitters in game making: Nippon Ichi Software, Idea Factory, Gust, Namco Bandai and Capcom all helped create this title. Characters include Etna from Dsiagaea, Aurica from Ar tonelico, Marie from Atlier Mari, Meu from Spectral Souls and Morgan from Darkstalkers.
All chicks! Nice. That would be enough, but there's more. According to NIS, the game features side-scrolling "Action Dungeons" where you can "run, jump and search for various treasures like in an action game." There are also costume changes. (This is obviously very important in an RPG with an all female "cast.") Don't think changing duds will simply change a character's stats, either; you'll also change their appearance which seems like the point.
To celebrate the sartorial splendor of these RPG mistresses, NIS is sponsoring a contest where gamers can vote on the outfit they like best. The top two characters selected by voters will be turned into a Giclee print. Two people who vote for each of their two favorite costumes will win a limited edition collectible print of that costume. (Here's my advice: Vote for the sexier costumes to increase your chances of winning.)
