sourceRose Colored Gaming, maker of custom consoles, has announced that its upcoming crop of custom Super NES and Super Famicom themed GameBoy Advance hand-helds will be available "early July 2014."
On the company's Facebook page, it states that assembly of the Super Family Entertainment line has begun and that it hoped to have all the material to package the slick customs this week.
The back-lit GameBoy Advances are painted to resemble the color schemes of the beloved consoles, and the packaging is a direct homage to the iconic Super NES and Super Famicom game packages.
On its website, the custom console maker says that these are not cheap-knockoffs. Rather, they are built with genuine Nintendo parts. "We don't cut corners and we don't mass produce," it adds, meaning each custom console is hand-painted and hand assembled. It seems to be a labor of love and the results are pretty impressive.
"One might think that mixing the 2 separate grays for the SNES and SFC GBAs would be easy," Rose Colored Gaming says in a post on its Facebook page. "It's not. Matching those colors is no easy task."
The company does custom controllers and consoles other than just GBA. All of its products can be seen on its website.
Sounds nice.
