Team Ninja has revealed further details about its upcoming title, Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate. When the definitive version of Dead or Alive 5 hits shelves this fall, you can expect new offline game modes, character costumes, and a selection of retailer specific pre-order incentives.
Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate packages in all of the features of its predecessor, Dead or Alive 5 Plus, plus a smattering of new features. The new Team Fight Mode allows you to select multiple characters, taking your group against another player or A.I. force. Survival Mode brings nine dropped items back into the mix, including a watermelon capable of restoring health.
Team Ninja says the move list in Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate is expanded from what was found in Plus, and you'll have the ability to unlock almost 1000 new character titles via challenges and missions.
New costumes, including reworked outfits and animations, bring a new look to the character set.
Three Pop Idol costume sets include J-Pop, schoolgirl, and "bad girl" (whatever that means). The look of Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate characters is customizable, as well.
Pre-ordering at GameStop or Amazon will unlock exclusive gear for "select female fighters." Tecmo Koei recently announced a free demo-version, Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate: Core Fighters, exclusive to PSN.
