Dead Rising 3, a good game?

I'm yet to play Dead Rising 3 so I'm fishing around for opinions.

In the videos I see the game seems much more serious and darker, departing from the cartoonish / silly style of DR2. The other elements that made Dead Rising great are still there, like the silly outfits and the crazy guns - but still. I can't get over the feeling that the game lost it's appeal when it tried becoming more serious. What's your opinion?
 
It's actually pretty fun. I don't own it, but one of my friends got it and if you played the first two games and liked them, then you will love Dead Rising 3. It seemed to lack in the humor department compared to the previous titles, but the zombie killing, blood flying everywhere is definitely still there! I had fun with it the couple times I played it, but I felt like it would get a little tedious and repetitive as the game went on if I were to own it and play through the game.

I really agree with this. The story wasnt as funny as the other ones but the game overall was really good and really is a good exclusive game for the Xbox one. Its a good game to have a laugh and play with your mates but the game being repetitive is just the price you pay for killing zombies constantly.
 
It looked a lot better than the previous. I hated the first two games to be honest and never really played them much. DR3 looks a lot more interesting to play. I think the overall mechanics have improved. 
 
I really enjoyed the first two games myself and I played this one and found it to be just an interesting but it was definitely lacking something to be honest. 

I agree with McDoooobz Dead Rising 3 has definitely lacked in humour compared to the previous titles but it definitely makes up for that in the rest of the game especially with the zombie killing. If you liked the first two games I would definitely recommend you try the third.
 
i played the demo it seems fun with it over dramatic combat but in the end i think its just another kill zombies game (still fun though)
 
This is the reason I want a Xbox One because of this game as I have completed all the previous games I can't wait to play this one.Dead Rising 3 looks amazing and I certainly hope it is better than the other 2 Dead Rising's I am hoping to get a Xbox One around this Christmas time they should be a bit cheaper by then
