Dell is working on a USB Drive size computer called Ophelia which you can plug into a monitor, or TV, and let you use either “Windows, Mac OS, Google’s Chrome OS, Dell’s custom cloud solutions, Citrix cloud software, and even Google’s Chrome OS.”

Dell said Ophelia uses “virtual Operating system running in the cloud” to give users access to an operating system hosted online on a powerful server.

Ophelia would connect to the internet by Wi-Fi.

It will most likely cost $50 according to Tarkan Maner who is Dell’s vice president of cloud operations.

I like the $50 price since it is very affordable. I also like that it is the size of a thumb drive.

This would be a good computer for someone who just need to go on Netflix, check e-mail, play online-only PC games like World of Warcraft, Facebook, and want to use Mac OS X, and Windows without spending hundreds or thousands of dollars in computer hardware, and their internet is fast enough for this $50 Cloud PC.

I wonder would ISP just give people a $50 Dell computer, and have them connect to their servers to use their apps, OS, and programs.

I think this also would be good for tablets since tablets are not fast enough to play full fledge PC games, but if the internet is fast enough people can play full fledge games by having them streamed to them to their $50 PC by using the internet.

This will really take off if Dell also offers paid software like Photoshop, Adobe Premeir, and Final Cut Pro which is also streamed to this PC.

I can't imagine it can hold many programs.

Most of the programs will be either installed on a powerful server at home, or on an online server at a website, so you can install a lot of programs on it, and have them streamed back to you.

I bet there would also be a MicroSD memory card slot, and USB ports for you to install more programs on a memory card, or external usb hard drive or flash drives.
