Who else here is playing the Destiny Alpha? If so, what are you thinking about it so far?

I'm havint fun with it, but I haven't seen anything groundbreaking yet. I still haven't played the raid, and I hear a lot of good stuff about that..
 
I played for a few hours earlier today. And while there are things I liked (the double jump was a nice touch), I didn't really see anything Earth-shattering. Not yet at least. I'm going to play more though so it's not like I'm dismissing it right yet. 

I'm really not sold on the whole shared world aspect and I keep waiting for that to cause problems in game (like a disconnect in middle of a quest causing a crash or something).

I was kind of annoyed by the load times going from Earth to the Tower (and vice versa) though. They took about 55 seconds to go from transfer to area to actually getting there. Felt very much like Mass Effect 3 multiplayer level of loading. (For those who never played ME3's multiplayer... it could take up to 90 seconds to get into a single match because you had 2-3 loading screens each that lasted for about 30 seconds.)
I suppose once you're in an area it's not bad and there aren't any loading times. Just getting into the area though takes a while.
 
Most thing I hear is that it's boring which isn't good for a pricey made game. I hope they can make it better.

I have been playing it for a while and now that the Alpha is closed, my life has no purpose. I am not even exaggerating! You'll have to play it to believe it. Just keep in mind that it's still in Alpha stages. If you are into Borderlands, Warframe and Halo stuff, you'd absolutely dig it. There is tons to do and explore here! Obviously, they can't please everyone, so some people are going to like it a lot while some will eschew away.

Why mate? Aren't you getting a PS4? Destiny's lifespan will be more than 10 years. So any hope of Destiny 2 arriving before 10 years from now is futile.
 
I've played a bit of the Alpha, and it's tons of fun  It's not some super innovative or groundbreaking expereince, but so far, everything it does, it does very well.

I'm getting a PS4 whenever Kingdom hearts 3 comes out and and if it follows Halo's life span I can see Destiny 2 out in 2016 or 2017.
