Detective Pikachu Live-Action Movie

And its finally happening, Pokemon goes live action.....

Legendary Pictures has announced that it has acquired the film rights to Pokemon and will begin production on a Detective Pikachu film sometime next year.

This is such a stupid idea... Why make a completely random movie about Pikachu being a detective instead of making an actual live action adaptation of the Pokemon anime?

Haha I would probably lose it if Pikachu was voiced by Danny Devito. Kinda reminds me of that mystery dungeon animation from a few years back.. It was a Supah Nintend0h video if I'm not mistaken. It's rather old, but basically Pikachu's dad had a weird man voice that was unexpected from how squeaky the pikachu's voice was.
