I hopped into Hearts of Iron IV the other day and I got a notification that the developers are offering access to all of their DLC, which costs a lot if you combine it all, for the small price of 5 euros per month. Do you think it's a good idea and could be benefical to some gamers? DLCs can really get pricey nowadays and it would be good to have a way around it, at least in my opinion.

I feel like the publishers want the players to cash in or play for an extended amount of time for more money than you can really offer for the exact same thing. It's one thing to have a sub-service for online play and to play the games themselves but knowing you can never keep them is like asking for you to hold shares in their stock which doesn't sit right. We've had game rentals forever but I don't find it to be a justifiable business model. The way around it is to offer it for free or instead make a game similar to it for a discount with the exact same mechanics and different assets. Or just sell the bundle and the game for a little bit more but not more than both combined at minimum price. It's not like you have to have the DLC to play, but it is unnerving to any and all game collectors or people that don't have time for all the game but want the sentiment anyways.

Cheaper DLC Subscriptions of $1 to $3 a month could be good for game buyers who plan to sell the game after completing the game, or return the game to their friend or game rental store after they finish the game.

It should be reduced, because we bought the game higher, paying consistent €5 monthly doesn't worth it. It should be reduced to cents for me.

It's not something I would ever bother with but I guess it's not too bad for users that can't afford to pay for the DLC in one go. In the longer run it's more expensive but I guess it's the only option for some.
