Did you ever get into an argument with an anime hater?

It's a personal rule of mine, don't talk to haters. Haters will hate till the end of time.
 
I have, but that anime hater became an anime fan a few years ago (probably not because of our argument). Everyone has different opinions, but I don't like to talk to people who hate something without giving a reason why.

Well,most of them have a common reason.Anime is for kids and that's it,the reason :(

I honestly don't see what reasons people would have to hate anime.

I know that in Japan there is a big part of society that believes anime makes people violent or stupid, but that is because it is very present in their subcultures, and even that form of discrimination has been disappearing.

Well,I have seen this user who said "I don't want to hear about anime which is for babies....blah blah" .I was like.,. really mad but I kinda ignored him.

I don't like arguments after all (_ _)

like how our culture views violent games and such?
 
I get this all the time since I am 40 some. I found many of them were watching anime and didn't even know it. I get the cartoons are for kids thing almost every time too. Funny thing is I've seen plenty of TV-MA animes that I know damn well would never be shown on any regular TV channel. (Freezing being one of them.) Borderline pornography some of them.

If they say the don't like cartoons, the fact is CGI movies are also considered cartoons, and also you would be hard pressed to find a movie that had no CGI whatsoever in this day and age. So most movies are technically partially cartoons! :grin:
