Did you know there a 2 versions of the Original Switch

I was doing some research on the Switch and found out there were 2 version, a 2017 version and a 2019 version and the only difference I tell is the battery life, but I didn't know there were 2 versions. Source: CNET

Original Nintendo Switch (2017)
Model number: HAC-001.
Product serial number: Begins with XAW.
Battery life: approximately 2.5 to 6.5 hours

New Nintendo Switch (2019)
The new Nintendo Switch has better life, up to 9 hours and comes in distinctive packaging
Model number: HAC-001(-01).
Product serial number: Begins with XKW
Battery life: approximately: 4.5 to 9 hours

Yeah that is the only difference I think and yeah it should have been strong from the start.

I was aware of it but since I don't play all the time it wasn't a concern for me. I got it around when Smash was released that Christmas year so I might've not had that option iirc.

I never knew there were two versions of the Original Switch. I'm glad the 2019 version of Switch has longer battery life.

I have the 2017 release. I can't believe I've had this that long! I have no regrets - it still works fantastic!
