Yes, it would be useful when you can't be in front of a computer, but still want the website to read out loud to them, or download a MP3 file on the website to listen to the article to me while I am watching TV, cooking, running, working or doing something else away from the computer monitor.
Some articles are also "Too Long Didn't Read/TLDR", so I might be more likely to listen to longer articles which are multiple pages long, but don't read because it would take a long time.
