well basically you have to defend these frontier towns from rock monsters(Grocks).
You're in each town for 3 days. During the daytime you go around arming defense towers and mines collecting various bits and pieces. Then around dusk the sky turns red and the monster attacks begin. You have to stop them before they get to the village gates. Some of them will be taken out by the defense towers, others you have to battle.
There's a bit of strategy involved in arming the right towers, and choosing which grocks to attack in person.

• Yes! Someone else who downloaded Dillon's Rolling Western!
• Personally, I liked the controls, it's a bit different from the usual.
The game is hard, especially if you are going for the 5 Star rank for each village..which I recommend should only be attempted after clearing all the villages.
