Microsoft has confirmed that DirectX 11.2 will be exclusive to Windows 8.1 and the Xbox One. With DirectX 11.2 offering some cool new features, and yet no clear technological reason for making it an exclusive, it would seem that Microsoft is attempting to tease Windows 7 and XP holdouts into upgrading to Windows 8.1.

I wonder DirectX 11.2 being a Windows 8.1 and Xbox One exclusive mean a lot of Xbox One games also will be released for Windows 8.1 Gaming PCs which also has DirectX 11.2 as an Exclusive .

Alright.

It looks like a decent release. I wouldn't buy Windows 8.1 or an XB1 for it. These are (mostly) just improvements to do things which were previously possible, but to make them easier, as I expected.
