Reggie Fils-Aimé, former President of Nintendo America released a book, called Disrupting the Game: From the Bronx to the Top of Nintendo. Within it, he has chronicled many things that are starting to spill out, one such thing as how he broke Nintendo standards and became the best friend of Nintendo's former global president Satoru Iwata, you can read some of it here.

I didn't know there was such a book.

It's not the type of book that I normally read but I might look into it, I don't know. I've got quite a bit on my book shelves now.
