1/18/11 update:
So far, Duodecim has been confirmed to include the cast of the original Dissidia along with FFV's Kaim, FFXIII's Lightning, FFVII's Tifa and, now, FFXII's Vaan. We can probably expect more surprises to come as the game's Spring release period approaches.

Who's the next Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy warrior to follow Vaan? Today, we have the answer to that burning question courtesy of Weekly Shounen Jump.
The Japanese manga mag (which gets all the reveals on most major Square Enix titles) reveals that Final Fantasy VIII's Laguna Loire will join the cast. He'll bring with him a machine gun as his standard weapon, and some hefty fire power. You'll be able to make Laguna run around while gunning away, and also extend your combos by holding down the fire button.
Expect to get a first official online look at Laguna over the next couple of weeks.
Jump also has a look at the "world map" feature that we mentioned in our recent preview. A screenshot in the magazine shows Lightning and what appears to be a party of two characters moving about a 3D field. It's unclear how this system will be incorporated into the game, but as with Laguna we're expecting more details to surface over the next couple of weeks.

Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy's latest character reveal isn't much of a surprise due to a teaser clip in the game's latest trailer. But since it's now official, we thought we'd pass along the word.
This week's issue of Japan's Weekly Shounen Jump comic magazine confirms that Final Fantasy X's Yuna will be a playable character. The magazine has first in-game screens and also reveals that Yuna will be able to cast summons like Bahamut, Shiva and Ixion.
Yuna's appearance in the game was pretty much confirmed when Square Enix released a trailer with CG showing a character briefly walking on water. If you played FFX, you would have easily recognized this scene.
Is Yuna's Duodecim role limited to just her FFX summoner form, or will she also appear guns blazing ala Final Fantasy X-2? We'll have to wait for a followup report for more details!. Expect that some time next week.

Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy was featured at Square-Enix's press event, which focused mainly on Fabula Nova Crystallis, but held some information for other titles as well.
Here, they confirmed that the game has a demo available today, entitled Dissidia 012 Prologus. A premium demo, bigger than a normal demo, and it costs 300 yen. They also said that if you buy Prologus, you'll have access to Aerith as a support character in the full game later.
They also mentioned that Yuna's original japanese voice actress, Mayuko Aoki, will be returning.
Takahashi Mitsunori, the director of the game, went on record saying that they would add “as many characters as they can” before the game's March release date, and went on to reveal two new characters right off the bat - Gilgamesh from Final Fantasy V and Prishe from Final Fantasy XI.
