Dissidia Tops Japan

The PSP isn't exactly known for its software sales. This is true even in the system's home territory of Japan, where it was the number one selling hardware for most of 2008.

Despite that, PSP managed to have the top selling game in Japan for the busy December sales rush. Enterbrain issued a sales recap today covering December 1 through December 28, and Final Fantasy Dissidia was on top.

The Final Fantasy crossover fighter sold 660,262 units over the ten days following its December 18 release. This was plenty to beat out Animal Crossing City Folk, which took second place with 481,695 units.

The full top ten with December sales and, wherever appropriate, life to date sales, reads like this:

1. Final Fantasy Dissidia (Square Enix, PSP, 660,262)

2. Animal Crossing City Folk (Nintendo, Wii, 481,695, 895,302)

3. Kirby Super Star Ultra (Nintendo, DS, 403,279, 855,427)

4. Girls Mode (Nintendo, DS, 299,170, 549,348)

5. Professor Layton and the Final Time Journey (Level-5, DS, 267,365, 628,143)

6. Pokemon Platinum (Pokemon, DS, 258,843, 2,187,337)

7. Taiko no Tatsujin Wii (Bandai Namco, Wii, 251,183)

8. Rhythm Heaven (Nintendo, DS, 221,971)

9. Wii Fit (Nintendo, Wii, 211,651)

10. Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2 (Koei, PS3, 206,438)

it be 60$ if if came out for the PS3, but the game would be awesome. would have a hell of a lot more characters, and the game would just pwn.

It would be 60$ if if came out for the PS3, but the game would be awesome. Would have a hell of a lot more characters, and the game would just pwn.
Not all PS3 games come out as $60. If it was an import it'd be like $40-$50. But since this game is total awesomeness... yeah
