DLC a Rip-off?

Do you think DLC is a rip-off of your money? It is pretty much what developers didn't want to put into the game cause they want more money or they are just lazy. I don't like buying it, but I do if it is something that would be useful.

it's a rip off alright, you buy the game and the makers of that game set out some new content a week later for more money and that content could already be in the game.

I don't care as much if it is like a year later or they literally couldn't put it in the game, but when Harmonix announced Beatles: Rock Band DLC the day it came out, I was pissed. But if they release it over time, like Rock Band 2 DLC, it is not as much of a rip-off since they probably couldn't fit all the songs on the disc.

Many games do this, some for free(L4D for PC) ^_^

I think so.. As it is, I have Burnout Paradise, and the money you'd have to spend just for the add-ons is ridiculous, I'd rather have the content on the disk, than have it sitting on the hdd and taking up space.

I am not too keen on only being able to download a game. I'd much rather have the disk itself.

I refuse to pay for DLC especially if chances are, when the next game in that series comes out, the paid DLC, will likely be free.. and possibly removed later on.. I know that that would piss me off especially if I deleted the DLC to make room for other games.

I think it is a rip off because if you do not like the DLC, you can't sell it back to Gamestop or EBworld as a used game. Plus, they cost a lot in some cases.
