Do smaller websites need to work harder for traffic and pleasing their readers?

Yes, I think smaller websites need to install more MODs like the Youtube MOD which allows members to easily , and shout out boxes on forums.

Also, making sure the pageload times are under 10 seconds or less on most internet connections including dial up.

Most importantly, daily content for readers to read, so they are more likely to come back.

indeed, they need to work to show that people coming to their forum know that they will enjoy their time there.
