Yes, in my experience when I use Windows, I notice all web browsers I used on it (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, etc) tend to crash, freeze and slow down more often in Windows compared to Ubuntu Linux, Puppy Linux, Linux Mint, my cell phone, and tablet which do not have many crash or slow down as often when I use the same web browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and other web browser on Ubuntu Linux, and Google Android tablet.

I haven't used Apple Mac, but I haven't heard as many people complain that Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Opera, etc are slow or crash a lot on the Mac, iPad, iPhone, etc compared to Windows where there are a lot of people who complain their web browser like Google Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer are slowing down their PCs.

wouldn't know, but I can see it being true since windows after all is made by IE and that's what Microsoft wants you to use.

I honestly experience the opposite. I have had web browser's crash and lock up more on Linux and FreeBSD compared to on Windows. However with that said I haven't really had my web browsers crash at all for quite awhile.. I have had plugins crash in Chrome and sometimes firefox would lock up for a few seconds, but other then that they have run fine.
