Every year the football video game Madden comes out and every year they have a new person on the cover from one of the NFL teams on it and every year something bad happens to the cover player.
This year's Madden cover featured the Kanasa City Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes and on today's game... well lets just say his knee has seen better days:
I think the Madden curse may exist. But, there maybe other reasons which cause Madden cover player to get injured.
I heard football can be a very dangerous sport, so injuries can happen with many football players,
I think some other football players from different teams may get jealous or are jealous without knowing it, and tackle more harder and be more rough with the Madden cover player because the player got a lot of money for just being on the cover.
The Madden football cover player may also push themselves harder to prove to Madden fans that they deserve to be on the cover. When you push yourself harder, injuries are more likely to happen.
I feel NFL is being more of a high impact sport these days because more people watch football on TV and online where people can see close ups of plays, so high impacts may make more people watch football games on TV instead of other sports like baseball like how some people watch WWE wresting because of the high impact punches, kicks, and body slams.
Some football players may also want to injure the Madden cover player to get mention on Twitter for continuing the Madden curse of every Madden cover player being injured.
The NFL is an aggressive contact sport. There are going to be times when you're going to get hurt playing that game.
I have noticed that the people that end up on that cover end up getting hurt but you have to expect injuries in a sport like the NFL. It's just something that comes with the territory.
