No, I don't really care about electronics brands.

I bought some pretty good universal remotes, TV cables, audio cables, headphones, batteries, and USB cables from the dollar store for a few dollars each.

I just read a few reviews on the product on Amazon and other shopping site, and buy the product with the most reviews, a good design, and an affordable price. I also read the seller ratting if I buy on eBay, and Amazon Marketplace.

I usually end up buying pretty good stuff at a cheap price.

It is also kind of fun buying generic branded electronics which I never bought before, and seeing them work pretty good. Plus, with the money I save, I can buy more inexpensive electronics.

I also think most of the stuff you buy at Radioshack, Bestbuy, etc is made in the same Chinese factory, so a lot of the generic and no-name branded stuff are the same things, but without the brand and fancy box, so I might as well buy the cheaper stuff online.

As far as headphones, video game accessories, and other cheap electronics goes I really do not care much about brands.

But as far as the espensive stuff like laptops, computers, and Flatscreens goes I tend to care more about brands.

Refurbished and used computer and laptops work pretty well for me, and I usually buy them for hundreds less, and both my refurbished computer by HP I bought in 2007, and Refurbished HP laptop also by HP which I got from a family member in 2009 still both work great to this day.

Store built computers which a local computer store built last very long in my experiences, and I can save money by installing Windows from my old computer, and re-using the license. I have 2 store built desktop from 2002, and they still work these days.

I think my relatives bought flatscreens which were made by Sony, and Panasonic, and they complain that they break fast, and warned not to use them as much because their flatscreens are not very durable. I read online that a lot of Flatscreens parts are made by the same few companies from China and Korea.

It depends. If I'm buying a computer or something like that I care about the brand but if it's a small thing like headphones, flash drivers, etc.. I don't care.
All I want is something that works and don't die.

What is wrong with Dell?

I heard Dell's Alienware and XPS Gaming PC and laptops have pretty good performance and reliability. I used a few Dells which other people and places like the library owned, and they work pretty good.

I personally feel Acer, Dells, HPs, and most other computer brand have almost the same lifespan and are as reliable as each other if the parts inside the computer are built from trusted brands like Intel CPU, AMD CPU, Nvidia Video cards, Kingston RAM, Western Digital hard drives, and Gigabyte Motherboards.

I usually end up replacing computers after a few years even though they still work when I need to upgrade Windows, so I can run newer games, and software which don't work for older computers and Windows versions like 98, ME, and 2000.

Yes, because if a brand has a reputation, then it can affect sales.

For example, Samsung's open and easily customizable handsets, as opposed to locked handsets like those from HTC and Motorola, and communication with developers, such as those if the XDA community, and timely updates to the o/s, is just one of the many reasons I'll always buy their devices as long as they are on Android. HTC and Motorola's penchant for locked bootloaders, and Motorola's attitude toward hackers, developers and people who want to customize their devices the way they see fit, and being extremely slow where updates are concerned is why I will never buy any of their devices.

I believe that if I am going to be spending my money on something, then I should be able to do as I see fit with it.

Few products i do like mobile and computer for others i don't care much..
