I don’t care for touch screens at all, including laptops. To me it feels less intuitive to reach over and touch a screen than use the mouse that I’m already holding.
The only time I feel like using a touch screen is when I'm using my e-reader. As far as my laptop goes, I can never see it having a touch screen. It just seems dumb to have to reach up and touch the screen in the middle of typing.
I think touchscreens on 2-in1 laptops make sense for 2-in-1 laptops where you can flip the keyboard by behend the screen to turn it into a tablet.
Having a touchscreen may also make your used laptop easier to sell at a higher price, or help your laptop get sold in a few days on eBay because more average users may want a laptop with a touchscreen, so having a touchscreen can be useful for attracting used laptop buyers.
Young kids may like touchscreen laptops because they sometimes like to use touchscreen apps like drawing apps and also like using the keyboard to play games and type words on their drawing.
