I try not to care, but if someone is talking about me I will find out why/who.

I do not really care unless they are using the internet to post fake rumors about me on Twittet, blogs, amd YouTube, or posting paper posters around time.
I would avoid talking to them since they most likely won't respect privacy, and talk about my conversations with them without my permission.

In order for me to get upset about this, I would have to care about the person's opinions in the first place. If someone went through the trouble to post some fake news or some sort of rumor about me on the internet, they obviously have nothing better to do with their time so they have to make things up about other people they don't know in order to make their life seem more interesting. Why would I be bothered by this?
