I don't really care since there isn't much or any negative posts about me. I don't troll on forums and other social sites.

I make sure to treat people the same online or offline since having an online "tough guy and jerkish" personality is lame.

If they search on my Facebook, Myspace, forums, blogs and websites, all they find out is I'm a guy who likes anime, movies, TV, video games, cute girls, hot women, fast exotic cars (Ferrari, Porshe, Toyota GT-One, Audi R8), and enjoy tweaking and upgrading computer hardware and software.

A good way of keeping a positive reputation online is to not troll, post homemade adult movies, and other undesirable stuff.

I guest one thing I don't want them to find out is "I plan on finding a way to be partially self-employed someday, so I don't have to depend on a pay cheque for daily expenses since I find jobs somewhat insecure at times since if the CEO or boss makes a poor decision and loses money. There will most likely be layoff, cut hours, or less wages to go around." since they might think I don't want to work for them on a long term basis.

I just hate the idea of not having any stable income while searching for a new job.

Not really, as long as they don't find anything negative to deny me a position on the workforce. Most companies (especially coporate ones) do checks on the Net, others don't. It's something to keep in mind when landing a job.

I don't use my real name most places, I keep most things legal, I don't do drugs/drink so there isn't anything to post stupidly, I don't (admit) to doing anything illegally. I also keep my facebook private.

my employer is more then free to search me online but my facebook is dead and empty and I haven't used my real name on any forum. Good luck in finding me.

A quick search of my name only finds my Computer help websites and blogs. Plus, other people with the same name.

I mostly use my real name for professional websites like LinkedIN, Job search sites, Career advice forums and my computer blog since I think not too many people are willing to hire or read tech advice from someone who is named Froggyboy in real life or online.

But, I will never used my real name on forums related to entertainment since it is kind of boring and lame.
