Yeah. They're meant to be cheap in SSBB. SSBB is just an all around unfair, glitchy, crap game. Maybe if people didn't rush Nintendo about it making them be like, "You want the game? Fine here." Then maybe the game would have been better.

... that was... retarded.

Well it's true. I've found more glitches in SSBB than any original NES games.

Also you know it's true that SSBB was rush because everyone was too impatient for the game. They kept pushing it back and everyone got pissed so Nintendo gave up and just handed out the game.

Legendaries get old quick. You have a very small group to select from and they all have really great stats. Not much challenge in using Legends. I prefer competitive play with only regular Pokemon, although anything goes in game.

I clicked yes... but I was thinking. They ARE in the game for a reason AND every Pokemon has a weakness aside to their attribute. I wish I clcked "no, not really" now.

What about Arceus's Judgement?

Agreed. You don't get much of a chance if you go up against someone who uses a whole team of legendaries, even if you play type advantages e.g. Umbreon (dark) vs Lugia (Psychic/Flying) . However, I only use 1 legendary and that is the one that the story is based around e.g. Reshiram.

Since I hadn't posted on this before... I generally think Legendaries are cheap, and for several good reasons.

First, what Porkman said about their stats being higher and generally without major weaknesses (like physically weak or specially weak).

Also, in line with weaknesses, many legendaries are Dragon-type. Dragon-types, due to their general overpowered nature, are 4x weak to ice in their final form (Kingdra as the exception). Legendary Dragons do NOT have such weakness. Reshiram is generally considered one of the biggest, overused threats in Ubers because of his typing negating most of its weaknesses and NOTHING in the game being able to take a specs Blue Flare.

Next, as was already pointed out, they have access to powerful moves that ONLY THEY GET. Nothing else gets that powerful of a move, so there is no fair comparison.

Finally, legendaries are, by nature, unable to breed. Every now and then there is an event Pokemon you can restart until you get the right nature for, but that is rarely an option. This means that 90% of the people who use them online have hacked in legendaries with perfect stats. Either that or they are kids just trying out the Pokes- AND THAT'S FINE! I love messing around and when my opponent is bringing it just because they like it, then I am fine. But official Nintendo-sanctioned tournaments ban/limit them and do so for a good reason.

In conclusion, they are unfair. There is no getting past that. But they can also be fun to use, so just make sure whoever you play knows what kind of battle to expect.

It honestly depends on the Legendary. Arceus is the biggest culprit of cheapness due to its base stat total being 720, 120 for each stat. Other cheap legendaries include Mewtwo and usually version mascots, such as Rayquaza. Ones I consider to be fair are the lake trio from 4th gen, Deoxys due to evening it's stats out and the Tao trio because they're weak as piss. You could argue about the ones with the base stat total of 600, such as Victini and Jirachi, but that's up for debate. This is just my opinion, I usually avoid using legendaries because most of the ones I own are very OP, so I stick with normal Pokemon.
