Yes, no one really talks about custom icons and cursors for their computer. People just talk about Wallpapers, and widgets. I guest because Making and changing a cursor or icon in Windows is somewhat harder then changing the desktop background.
Do you feel cursors and icons are not appreciated enough?

I think people appreciate them just fine.. sometimes a person just wants something simple, yet functional, and without all of the bells and whistles..
