It can be harder to sell a digital watch for a very high price like thousands of dollars compared to a luxury analog watch made by a company like Rolex or Omega where there are enough rich people like factory and business owners who can afford a watch which cost thousands of dollars, and feel the watch may increase in value in the future like gold, silver, diamonds, antiques, classic cars, etc.

I feel people who buy expensive analog watches hope they are worth more money in the future, or don't lose its value after a few years. Electronics like digital watches have a reputation of not being worth a lot of money after it is used, and it is rare for used digital watches to be worth more money in the future compared to a limited edition or very old analog watch where some collectors may pay a lot of money for a used limited edition analog watch which is very old.

Most people who buy very expensive gold and silver watches seem to collect expensive analog clocks made by Rolex and Omega where the watch can cost many thousands of dollars, but can be worth more money when the price of gold and silver increases in price, or the watch is no longer being made.

But, very few people pay thousands of dollars for a digital watch. I think most digital watches are sold for $100 or less because they won't be worth $100 or more in the future unless the digital watch is a limited edition watch which no longer be made in the future.

Most likely because of the materials that had been use in digital watch. Because there are many accessories/ jewels you can put on analog watch than digital watches.

That is true, an analog watch has many gears, springs, screws, watch's face and hands which can be made from more expensive metals like brass, gold, platinum, and stones like diamonds, and rubies.

But, the price of digital watches maybe decreasing because the circuit board, buttons, lcd screen, and strap are usually made from cheaper materials like plastic, lead, steel, aluminum, and can be assembled by a robot.

It all depends on the buyer most of the time.

I think an unopened Apple Watch version 1 and some popular digital and smart watches maybe worth thousands of dollars when they become rare antiques in many years from now
