I feel sorry for myself when I have to deal with very hot weather, and there is nothing much I can do about it because I am outside, or the owner of the building or car/bus did not install air conditioning, the air conditioner is broken, or did not turn on the air conditioner.
I feel working at service jobs like cashiers, customer service, and tech support and sales jobs can make workers feel sorry for themselves when an angry customer or co-worker use violence like hitting a worker, or yelling loudly instead of being calm and friendly. New workers with less experience don't always know how to deal with very angry co-workers and customers, so the person dont get more angry and violent.
