Yes, if the website seems to have too many pop-ups for fake antivirus, and annoying /scammer ads, I feel kind of unsafe, so I don't visit the site again or try to avoid it.

Yes.. that is why I don't go onto them..
I sometimes used them as well to download stuff.
only reason I go on them is to either get:
A) some important info that I have searched long and hard for.
B) to get a file that I have searched long and hard for.
