Do you have a favorite teacher back in high school?

A lot of us had this dislike for some of our teachers back in high school as a result of how they treated us. However, one can't deny the fact that some of these teachers are good and some are our favorites. Do you have one that you can say was your favorite back then?
 
I had a few, more bad than good sadly.

Yes , my government teacher was my favourite he gives his best when teaching.
 
No, I don't have any one of them as my favorite. My time in school then was like a business. I needed to pass their exams and it was the only thing I had interest on.
 
I had a few that were good. Also some were not so good. I felt the younger teachers, those in their late 20's, early 30's could relate to us kids more than those who were middle-aged.

Most of the middle-aged teachers in my class then all used to be very grumpy. Was that a common thing in your school back then?
 
My CAD and potentially Calculus Teacher was really smart but really easygoing. He's really cool but sometimes people would see how much they can get away with around him. In hindsight, I didn't learn much CAD, but it really made me enjoy my time being young enough to still be in High School.

Some were grumpy & some downright mean. There was one female teacher that nobody liked. & she didn’t like any of her students. But she was on tenure so they couldn’t fire her as readily. She would berate & publicly humiliate students. I got yelled at for sniffling because I had a cold. That was a long hour for me!

I wonder why some people would take on a career or profession they don't love? The lady you're talking about clearly doesn't love her job. It's why she's taking out her frustration on the students. I'm sorry you had to go through her likes.

Thank you! I wasn't the only one & my beratement was low key compared to others!
I think the same thing. Even school bus drivers. If you don't like kids, don't have the patience, why on Earth take a job that deals with kids?

This is why I've always supported having any employer have their applicants go for psychological evaluation before being employed.
